In October, 2010, I had one of those dreams which, for me, demonstrates the process of dreaming the physical world into existence as well as giving a ‘heads up’ about upcoming events (i.e., ‘precognitive’ dream), in addition to commenting on personal information. Some personal-specific details have been left out of the dream posted below.
In this dream, the movie being filmed is a ‘historical re-creation’ of a critical period in our current waking life consensus reality. While it is history for the people making the movie, the events being depicted are part of my/our future (certain people are [as actors] ”characters’ in the movie, but also themselves”). The scene being filmed is the ‘critical’ or ‘most significant’ scene — an event which contains the seed of multiple probable realities and multiple time lines diverging from this event, depending on the outcome.
The process of filming and pre-/post production is the process of creating/deciding on the details of the ‘movie’ as it will play out in waking life consensus reality. When the film ‘opens in theatres’ (in that far future) is when it also becomes ‘live’ in physical waking life in my/our world (when it is no longer a potential future event but is, in fact, a current waking life event). An initial ‘shift’ happens before the film opens when a certain subset of Prominent People pull their association from the movie. A few of these People (and similar others) choose to remain to ‘help the survivors ‘after”. The outcome of events in the critical scene marks the moment in which the paths (time lines / consensus realities) begin to diverge. All time lines will exist, but the wave-form of probable futures will collapse to a specific time line for each person, depending on what they experience as the outcome of these events. In addition to the Prominent People leaving, there are two primary time lines (and the variations within them).
In the months since I had this dream, I’ve noticed (in waking life) what seem to be ‘trailers’ for the movie. While I am not certain, I think the film may be out of post-production at this point and headed for release — it appears to me that ‘the stage has been set’ and the audience is entering the theatre. I’m not sure that the movie has begun yet, but I’m pretty sure we’re in the ‘coming attractions’ segment. I don’t know if the lights have gone down or not — but I suspect the movie will begin soon. Your ‘take’ on this dream may be very different, of course.
Dream from Oct. 31, 2010: Making a Movie
There’s a movie being made. I’m part of a large crowd scene, nearer to the outer edge rather than near the center. I’m not so much ‘participating’ in the action as just observing/watching the action. This is the ‘establishing shot’ to show how many people are affected or involved in some way. There is a kind of building tension and dissatisfaction moving through the crowd. The crowd is getting ready to do something. Some people have objects (guns?) they are waving. They are moving toward a Person of Prominence who has several people around him.
[note 1: There are various People of Prominence associated with this movie (only one is identified by name). There is a Person of Prominence from each major Field (Acting, Health/Healing, Medicine, Politics, Art, Music, Business, etc.). They are 'characters' in the movie, but also themselves, and are part of this movie because of their prominence and the people they reach. They each have a part to play. The one in front of the crowd seems to be associated with 'Government’ and seems to be the ‘Leader’ of a large/important system and/or nation' (President or CEO type). He and those with him are dressed in dark and clearly high-end business suits.] [note 2: in the dream, this 'Government/Leader' Person of Prominence reminded me of a particular person but because this Person was not specifically identified, I am currently going on the assumption that the dream was using that person's image as a 'shorthand' to represent the particular level of power/prominence].
The director ‘pauses’ the action and the crowd holds their various positions for a moment while the actor(s) playing the Person of Prominence and the people around him(?) step out of the scene and are replaced by (quite literally) dummies (like crash test dummy mannequins) — each with red ‘target’ circles painted on specific parts of the body (mostly around the head/torso). Later, in post production, the actors will be digitally ‘overlayed’ onto the mannequins, but this step allows the crowd to do what it will do without actually harming the real people. While the crew takes care of various ‘behind the scenes’ matters, the crowd relaxes, most of the extras disperse, there’s mingling, etc. Because this is a film, scenes are not necessarily being filmed in order. It will all be put together ‘in order’ before it goes ‘live’ in the theaters. Also, there will be people who will check for ‘continuity errors’ — things that are ‘out of place’ or don’t belong in a scene (the wrong color shirt, or some object that should or should not be there) — and will correct as many as they find. Some will be missed, of course – some missed by accident, some left in on purpose as ‘clues’ to this process.
During this ‘pause’ in the filming, one of the People of Prominence is talking to a news/media person who asks about the rumor that some of the People of Prominence are going to be pulling out of the movie. I am near the front of those who are watching/listening to this interaction. This Person (in the Health/Healing field) will only confirm that this is true (I am surprised and ask ‘Why?!’ half out-loud – I don’t understand!), but he will not (or cannot) say more about it until after the film is completed. There’s only a little bit of filming left to do.
When the ‘action’ resumes, it’s a much tighter shot of the crowd which is physically a much smaller group of people. I am not part of this scene and have no desire to be near it. Many in the crowd are carrying/waving weapons/guns (props, of course). They are supposed to move toward the Person of Prominence with much shouting and waving of the guns. In the final movie, it will look like the crowd is angry and threatening and yelling. During the filming, however, everyone in the scene is having a great time. To them, it’s a huge game (almost like a live video game)! They get to fire their guns and make a lot of noise and show, but no one really gets hurt. When shots are fired, they are directed toward the red circle targets on the dummies/mannequins. Multiple shots hit the dummies and the circles on them. Some hit dead center, some in the 2nd or 3rd (outer) circle of the target. The mannequin in the place of the Person of Prominence is either ‘killed’ or seriously injured, depending on whether the final focus is on the 3rd or 2nd circle of the bulls-eye. I have the very clear sense that the target circles represent ‘probabilities’, so there is the potential to have several versions of this scene, depending on where the targets are hit. [note 3: the Person of Prominence is definitely hit -- and it is the fatal/not fatal aspect of this event which contains the seed of divergent time lines]. This is the last scene to be filmed before final production.
After the film ‘wraps’, people are dispersing, leaving the set, and packing to leave. The crew is breaking down the set and putting away equipment. The People of Prominence who will be pulling out of the movie before it is released to the public are in many of the Fields that I resonate with (Healing, Arts, Music, etc.). Although they were part of the film and had a part to play, they do not want to be associated with the final film. They are Leaving and do not want to be part of the ‘live’ version that is the final film. A few of these People (and many of those of Lesser Prominence) have chosen to stay, on purpose, in order to help the survivors [!] ‘after’ the movie ends. Many of the ones who stay associated with the film itself are in fields I either dislike (Economics, Government) or don’t have much of an opinion about either way.
I am in a familiar room and I see Bruce Springsteen (this is the only Person of Prominence identified as a specific individual). His back is toward me. I call Bruce’s name several times, but the person who turns toward me is not Bruce — it is one of the crew. I look to my right and see Bruce ‘for real’ (again, he is facing away from me) and I approach with a humorous introduction about my friend who’s a big fan. However, again it’s not Bruce. I’m very confused and flustered. I don’t understand! I’m having trouble seeing clearly and my focus goes in and out. I’m ‘fuzzy’ (i.e., my perception is fuzzy), and I say ‘You’re not Bruce!’ In fact, this second person isn’t even human! I have a very clear image of his face /head, and he is definitely not human. [note 4: I'm not afraid, just astonished!] I ask who he is and he tells me his name is ‘Penthic Panther’. He also tells me some of his background and the context of why he is here (something to do with his research — he has a Ph.D. in something like historical anthropology). I have the understanding that, for the purposes of the filming, he took on the ‘role’ of Bruce Springsteen in order to ‘become part of’ this particular film or section of film. I have the sense that, for him (?) the events depicted in the ‘film’ are somehow of historical interest or significance, and that, at some level, this was also something like a ‘re-creation’ of events as well as actually filming a movie in production which will play (be shown) in ‘my time’. There’s more to this dream, but I don’t recall it.
